World famous singer, composer and songwriter Don McLean is embarking on his AMERICAN PIE 50th Anniversary Tour, which will include a performance at the historic Latchis Theater in Brattleboro, VT on Saturday, April 23, 2022 starting at 7:30 PM.
A Grammy Award honoree, National Academy of Songwriters Hall of Fame member, and BBC Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Don McLean catapulted to fame with the release of his eight-and-a-half-minute ballad paying tribute to the untimely death of Buddy Holly on February 3, 1959. This generational anthem continues to resonate ever since it reached the #1 spot on the Billboard charts 50 years ago, being voted “Song of the 20th Century,”
A prolific songwriter and musician, Don McLean and his band will also perform many of his other memorable hits, including “Vincent (Starry Starry Night)," "Castles in the Air," "And I Love You So," and "Cryin'' along with new songs that have earned critical acclaim.
